  • 2 1/2 cups almond flour
  • 2 handfuls of baby spinach
  • 1 green apple, seeds and core removed

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, add in all the ingredients and mix it with your hands until you can form a dough. Add water if necessary.
  3. Dust your counter with coconut or almond flour and roll out the dough until flat.
  4. Cut the dough into desired shapes, either with a cookie cutter or just with a knife.
  5. Bake the biscuits in the oven for 25 minutes.
  6. Bring the oven temperature down to 350 degrees and rotate the baking sheet.
  7. Continue baking until crisp (for another 10 to 15 minutes).

2. Homemade Flax Seed Dog Biscuit

What you will need

  • 3 oz powdered dry milk
  • 12 oz bread flour
  • 12 oz whole wheat flour
  • 2 oz wheat germ
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 to 4 Tbsp Flax Seed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of water

Directions

  1. Mix the bread flour, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, wheat germ, flaxseed, and salt in a bowl. Add in eggs and vegetable oil while mixing.
  2. Dissolve dry milk in water.
  3. Add the milk and water to the flour mixture. Mix until the dough becomes workable, adding water or flour when need.
  4. Cover the dough and set it aside for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Gather the dough and roll it out on a floured surface up to half an inch thick.
  6. Cut out the dough according to the desired shape and place them on a tray lined with a baking sheet.
  7. Bake in the oven at 375 degrees, until the biscuits harden or roughly about 40 minutes.

3. Cheddar Dog Biscuits

What you will need

  • 1 and 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 beef or chicken bouillon cube
  • 1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Dissolve bouillon cube in hot water. When it cools down a bit, add in egg and mix.
  3. Add flour to the liquid mixture and combine.
  4. Add in cheese and mix until it forms a dough.
  5. Gather dough and roll it up to a quarter-inch thick on a floured surface.
  6. Cut into desired shape and place on a non-stick baking sheet.
  7. Bake for about 15 minutes if you want soft treats. And bake for 20 minutes if you want crunchy biscuits.

4. Peanut Butter and Pumpkin Dog Biscuit

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter

Directions

  1. Turn on the oven and set it to 350 degrees.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, pumpkin, peanut butter, eggs, cinnamon, and salt. Pour in enough water whilst mixing to help the dough be more pliable. However, make sure to still keep the dough stiff and dry.

What you will need

  • 1 1/4 cups whole-wheat flour
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 1/4 cups cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup toasted wheat germ
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 sticks (3/4 cup) cold unsalted butter, cut into tablespoon pieces
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 tbsp water

Directions

  1. In a food processor, add in flour, oats, cornmeal, wheat germ, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Pulse until combined.
  2. Add the unsalted butter and pulse until the mixture becomes lumpy.
  3. Add water and pulse until a dough forms.
  4. Place the dough on a floured surface. Knead in mint and parsley until it is well combined.
  5. Gather the dough, cut it in half, and roll each into balls before flattening it on the surface. Place in the six-inch round.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  7. Start greasing two large baking sheets.
  8. On a floured surface, roll out one round of dough until it is about one-third of an inch thick then cut as many as possible. Place on baking sheet about a quarter of an inch apart.
  9. Repeat the same process with the leftover dough.
  10. In a bowl, whisk egg and one tablespoon water.
  11. Brush the biscuits with the egg wash and bake for about 35 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
  12. Turn off the oven. Leave the biscuit to dry inside the oven overnight.
